Welcome to our newest member of staff Nikki Delaney who has joined us as our Residential Lettings Administrator based in the Mill Hill branch.

I don’t think many people appreciate just how much work goes into letting out a residential property and I don’t mean just finding a suitable tenant.

Before a tenant moves into a property there is the question of an up to date gas safety certificate, and Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), an inventory, a professional clean and the list goes on.

Having a full time member of staff dedicated to making sure all of these things are in place means our Landlords can be rest assured that nothing has been missed out and likewise for our incoming Tenants too.

What this also means is that our Residential Lettings Negotiators can dedicate their time to matching prospective tenants with suitable properties and not worrying about the bits in between.

Since my last post there has been no sign of the North London property market dampening (unlike the weather!) and as you will have probably noted this buoyancy has spread to other parts of the country.

Now that the summer holidays are but a distant memory we have found many more people looking to buy and rent properties in Finchley, Hendon, Mill Hill and the surrounding areas and this demand is still far outstripping the number of available properties.

We have had many instances recently where properties have gone under offer within 24 hrs and found prospective purchasers having to enter into best-bid situations in order to secure their ideal property.

In my next post I will go into how you as a buyer can put yourself in the best possible position to buy a property and not miss out.
