This week saw us volunteering at Rubens House care home in Finchley Central for the second time.
It was a very special day as it was one of the residents, Hannah's, 106th Birthday!
We helped set up the room with balloons and banners and put many pictures of her up on the walls.
The event was marked by a visit from the Mayor of Barnet, Melvin Cohen, and a fabulous birthday cake although not with 106 candles I might add!
We put out tea and had a chat with the residents and found the whole experience extremely rewarding.
Next month we will be back although I dare say we won't have the honour of celebrating a 106th Birthday and meeting the Mayor!
